Plot

Theseus is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.

 

 Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king's hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man's conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion...until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope. Sinopsis

Para Titan memang tak lagi berkuasa sejak para Dewa mengambil alih kekuasaan dan bertahta di Olympus. Tak semuanya merasa puas dengan berkuasanya para Dewa ini. Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) adalah salah satu yang tak ingin berada di bawah kendali para Dewa. Ia ingin merebut kekuasaan dari para Dewa.

Hyperion tak kenal ampun. Dengan persenjataan dan tentara yang ia miliki, Hyperion memang raja yang tak tertandingi. Tapi ia sadar kalau itu belum seberapa. Ia harus mendapatkan Busur Epirus yang tersembunyi entah di mana. Epirus adalah busur yang dibuat oleh Ares, sang dewa perang dan konon mampu memberikan kekuatan yang tak bisa ditandingi oleh siapa pun, termasuk para Dewa.

Dengan pasukannya yang beringas, Hyperion menjelajahi seluruh wilayah Yunani untuk mendapatkan busur sakti ini. Entah sudah berapa banyak nyawa yang jadi korban selama Hyperion dalam pencariannya. Salah satu korban Hyperion adalah ibu Theseus (Henry Cavill). Kini Theseus bertekad membalas dendam dan memburu Hyperion.

Theseus tak sendiri. Ada seorang pendeta wanita bernama Phaedra (Freida Pinto) dan budak bernama Stavros (Stephen Dorff) yang menemani rakyat jelata ini dalam menghimpun kekuatan untuk melawan Hyperion.
